It's situated in south of Italy and is the heel of our country. Its historical name was "Aschenazia",
which derives from its first inhabitant Aschenez, considered the
grand-nephew of Noè. The first signs of the man's presence in Calabria lead back to Paleolithic age,
that is testified by some recoveries in the coves of Scalea and by the graffito of the "Bos primigenius" at Papasidero,
a picture of to Taurus (bull) 12.000 years old cut into the rock. The Calabria's dominant tourist wealth is the sea, to very
long coast which borders on two seas: Mar Tirreno and Mar Ionio, it offers landscapes made of beaches
and reefs. In the same it's important the tourism on the mountain, above all in the Sila, tableland situated in the
northern zone of the region where are some lakes like Arvo, Ampollino, Cecita, and systems of climb.
