Region of the central Italy, bathed by the Adriatic Sea. It was called Abruzzo in the Middle Ages,
its name derives from the Aprutium Latin, from "Aper", that means "Region of the Wild Boars". It' s to complete Region,
that it proposes sea, with long and gold beaches, and hospitable mountain either in the winter or during the summer.
The highest cape is Gran Sasso (2912 meters), at the foot of which it' s situated the Calderone Glacier. The National
Park of the Abruzzo, in the high valley of Sangro, offers the incredible opportunity to observe closely many species of
the local fauna like the marsicano bear, the wolf, the chamois and the roe deer.
